Application Procedure

The simplest way to apply is to submit your application documents attached to an e-mail sent to :

Those documents include the following : (1) a scanned copy of your previous degree’s transcript ; (2) a statement of motivation and interest ; (3) a CV emphasizing your academic (and, if any, professional) record ; (4) two letters of recommendation from previous teachers ; (5) a scan of your passport.

Please note that applications are subject to a non-refundable CHF (Swiss francs) 100.– processing fee, to be paid prior to sending application documents. Payment of that processing fee is made either through or via PayPal using GGSG’s e-mail address (see above).

Your application will then be reviewed and assessed on its merits by GGSG’s Academic Council, and you will be notified of its decision within a month.

If you are applying for a place on the doctoral programme, please note that a research proposal (complete with intended topic, research problem, literature consulted so far, and preliminary indications as to theoretical framework, hypotheses, observation plan and access to data) is also required. This research proposal need not be perfect at this stage : our faculty advisers will be there to help you enrich and refine it in due course.
