Prof. John Pirri

 

Dr. PirriProf. John Pirri earned his PhD degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In the late 1970s, he was one of a selective group of faculty members brought to Jordan to create Yarmouk University. In the 1980s, he was Associate Professor of Cultural Studies and Communication at Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon. During the later 1980s and early 1990s, he was at the American College of Switzerland, where he served as Dean for Academic Affairs and then as President of the College. In 1995, he returned to the Lebanese American University, where he served as Chairman of the Humanities Department. In his teaching career, he has also taught at the national Lebanese University and the University of Geneva. He is currently Professor of Human Rights and Communication, as well as Academic Adviser, at Webster University Geneva.
