Prof. Yossi Mekelberg

Yossi Mekelberg graduated in Political Science from Tel Aviv University and in International Relations from Middlesex University.

He has taught International Relations at Regent’s American College/ Webster Graduate School, London, since 1996. He is currently Principal Lecturer and Director of the International Relations and Social Sciences Programme at its Faculty of  Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences.

His fields of interest include International Relations theory, US foreign policy,  the politics of development, the international impact of revolutions, Middle East affairs, and the Arab-Israeli peace process.

Yossi is an Associate Fellow of the Middle East Programme at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, a member of the London Committee and Council of Human Rights Watch, and a consultant to the Dutch simulation and education foundation Pax Ludens. He is also a founding member of the Middle East Economic Forum.

Prof. Mekelberg is a regular contributor to the international media on these issues including BBC, CNN, Al-Jazeera, CBC, The Guardian, and The Independent, among many others.  He is frequently invited to give talks, run workshops and provide advice to the British government, NATO and the EU.
